Add words manually when you encounter them in your daily life, from conversations, books, articles, videos, or podcasts.

Data model

Each word stores:

  • Prompts: The words in your target language
  • Answers: Translations in your native language
  • Score: Your mastery level (-1 to 3)
  • Seen Count: How many times you've practiced it
  • Next Review: When you should review the word again

Each list stores:

  • Name: The title of your list (e.g., "Travel", "Work terms")
  • Prompt Language: The language the prompts (questions) are in
  • Target Language: The language you are learning (answers are in this language)
  • Words: All the words/questions that belong to the list
  • Progress Stats: Analytics on your progress for this list, such as percent mastered.
